Rebecca Snow ~ Biography

Honolulu acrylic and watercolor artist, Rebecca Snow, shows her work at Kuloko Art Gallery in Waikiki.  Her large canvas work depicts her love of the lively beach scenes on the island of Oahu as well as her plein air experiences from the Magic Island activity to the calm KoOlaus. 

 

Her range of work includes Plein air Alla Prima style which allows for the energy of the "at the moment" outdoor setting as well as studio work from live models. The whimsical work of "Pukui and Friends" is an abstraction of those magical moments painting on the busy beaches of Honolulu.  The series of XOXOHI shows her color intense Hawaiian florals that she infuses with joy.



Rebecca is the workshop coordinator for the Hawaii Watercolor Society. Watercolor work is her avenue for exploration and experimentation in to opaque uses of watercolor with gouache and mixed medium. She teaches watercolor and her "ART HUI" classes are perfect venues for learning and laughter.
